Why we built this

Feast, famine, and admin at midnight

Most solo agents we talk to are good at this business. They're also tired. Every deal is a one-person show: the lead, the showing, the offer, the conditions, the photos, the social posts, the follow-up. One slow quarter and the doubts creep in.

We've been there. When Adam and I took over my mom's business in 2023, we learned fast that talent isn't the bottleneck. Systems are. A second set of eyes on an offer at 9 p.m. is worth more than any brochure.

So we built a support package for independent REALTORS® at LPT Realty: you stay fully independent, and you plug into the coaching, training and deal support our team uses every day. Adam says it best: “We want our REALTORS® building businesses that are sustainable for the long term, not simply chasing the next transaction.”

Team vs solo questions, answered

Is joining a real estate team worth it?

It's worth it when the team adds what you can't easily build alone: training, deal support, systems and accountability, with clear terms on leads and clients. It isn't worth it if the terms are vague. The 7 Questions guide gives you a checklist to judge any team in one conversation.

What's the difference between a team and a solo agent day to day?

A solo agent handles every task personally. On a supportive team you still own your client relationships and decisions, and you get help with offers, open houses, marketing and follow-up, so more of your week goes to the work that grows the business.

What should I ask about lead ownership before joining a team?

Ask who owns the leads you generate, who owns team-supplied leads, what happens to your clients and listings if you leave, and get every answer in writing. The guide covers all of these.

How do I switch real estate brokerages in Ontario?

Your registration moves with you through RECO's transfer process, and your current brokerage's agreements govern listings and pending deals. Read your contract, then talk to the new brokerage about timing. RECO's website explains the registration steps.

What is LPT Realty in Canada?

LPT Realty is a brokerage operating in multiple Canadian provinces, including Ontario. Our team joined in 2026. Ask us how the brokerage and our team support fit together, and compare it with any other option on the same questions.

Independent doesn't have to mean on your own.
